Scribbling in the Boonies
Not all writers live in the neon glow of the city. Some are tucked away in the suburbs or small towns. And some live in the outlands, where we accept dodging deer, tractors, and the neighbor’s cattle—who have once again taken out their fence—as just an average trip to the feed store. We truly live and write in the boonies. But those boonies, and the small towns they encircle, offer a window into how the events of the larger world trickle in to challenge the average person. Those are the stories riding on the morning breeze that whisper to me.

Wanderers in the Weeds
My favorite people are those whose slightly square personalities don’t fit into society’s round holes. The ones who wander off the main roads to forge tiny trails through life’s weeds. They are the ones who fail to meet whatever the current standards are and who simply don’t care. They are too busy chasing whatever calls to them. They are society's mavericks and the characters I love!
