Coming Fall of 2026

Summer break begins feeling as bleak as the past few years in fifteen year old Addy Dunn’s life. Her parents’ addictions left her and her disabled brother trapped in a world of poverty and stunted opportunities. Despite coming under their loving uncle’s guardianship, there doesn’t seem to be much to look forward to except more of the grinding same.

When the irrepressible nun, Sister Michael, moves into their dystopian trailer park, she starts a chain of events dragging Addy unwillingly into the larger world. Before Addy can find her bearings, her gentle uncle makes a decision that will impact and test all of them. Summer is bringing more than hot, empty days, it’s dragging Addy toward an unexpected future.
